Happy Up Here

Ha ha ha…

Has it really been this long since we’ve been here?!?!

Well then it’s time to sober up and get back in there! We’ve done a vast number of gigs during the last couple of weeks (since the last entry here), and now we’re stumbling out of bewilderness & oblivion, only to ramble on. To us, the last few weeks feels as a hazy – yet funny – blur of sweat, basskicks & smilling faces. Ahhh – good times… When we get our heads back together we’ll post a memorandum of some of the most interesting moments here. As of now, we’re too confused & obliterated to put any of these events into a coherent context. But it’s been fun. Real fun.

On friday we’re back in Sweden, namely in Göteborg (that’s Gothenburg to all you non-Swedes) playing a festival called Way Out West. The day after we’re playing Öya, in Oslo. O’boy…

Meanwhile, check out this nice little “matrushka” – given to us in St. Petersburg by a Röyksopp-devotee.

All2

Note the details – and it comes fully equipped with two shot-glasses. Respect!

    Svein, Torbjørn

Junior was amazing ! Different from what you created in past, but amazing.

    Tell us more about Senior.

If “I Wanna Know” and “Fastburner” are not on this album, I’m gonna to kill you :)
Those tracks are just so perfect, and “I wanna know” could be a big club single and a awesome Royksopp track. Fastburner remind me Chemical Brothers.

I Wanna Know dudes… release this absolutely “ROYKSOPP TRACK” and you will be hereos :)

Like most Americans I discovered your music through the Geico commericial. I couldn’t get that sound out of my head and finally went on line and googled Geico and then discovered who you are. Your song “Remind Me” is one of the most hypnotic, catchiest grooves I’ve heard in a long time and I listened to a lot of music over my 45 years. It’s hip hop meets elevator music, but more dance groove than anything. I have both versions on my IPOD. It’s a song that never gets old and I never get tired of listening to it. It’s truly a masterpiece!!!!! Thank you and I’m just sorry it took me so long to discover it. I’ve been enjoying your other songs on U-Tube along with live concert footage. I hope you make it over to American in the near future. Thanks again for your music. It’s truly inspiring, especially to a fellow yet small time musician. Your fan Greg Wilson

Hi boys! Are you coming to South America this year? In Argentina we are waiting for you since Memory AM! Radio Metro 101 keeps playing your hits all day long, people love you! You should come to some festival around October or November (Personal Fest or Creamfields Buenos Aires). Many electronic bands are coming to Argentina every year, and they are not so successful and well known as you are! We’re waiting for you anxiously.

dudes, i am so happy that you’re finally coming back to san fraaaaancisco. i remember the only concert that i saw you at in 2003; when the opening refrain of “royksopp’s night out” came on.. that was one of my most euphoric, fully clothed, non-chemically altered moments in my life. seriously. it was right up there with that one time that i highsided off my motorcycle and watched the my helmet visor slowly scrape into the concrete and then i jumped up and realized i was alive. it was like that, only with less bruising and it cost less too.

i missed the 2005 concert for some reason but have always prayed that you would visit us again. the new album is stellar and i can’t wait to hear it live. i’ve already bought extra tickets because i’m making all my friends come with me, all 1 of them. and we are going to have a blast, jumping, dancing and waving our hands for you. :D :D :D :D
