» Live Review: The Times at Shepherds Bush Empire, London

“From the moment they took to their raised platforms centre stage, behind keyboards, computers and drums, amid a sea of dry ice that eventually cleared to reveal a backdrop of a giant ghetto blaster, they were on a mission to make the audience move their feet.”

» Live Review: The Evening Standard at Shepherds Bush Empire, London

“Watching a dance group live can be about as visually engaging as watching paint dry so Röyksopp deserve credit for a show that had more fun and theatrics than any rock gig you’re likely to see all year.”

» Live Review: Øya ‘09

“Røyksopp’s magical electro-fantasia with guests Anneli Drecker and Robyn scared the rain away with out-of-worldly force at Øya ‘09.

It had been raining cats and dogs non stop all day, and to be honest it didn’t look good for Norway’s number one export band. It was all well planned from Øya’s booking side had the weather just been on their side. UK’s Erol Alkan playing on the nearby Odden stage had warmed the crowd up but the festival area was definitely less crowded than the days before. However, about 10,000 dedicated and soaked fans were waiting in see-through raincoats, splashing around in the unforgiving Oslo mud. The atmosphere was charged with excitement, the field on the size of about two football fields well stacked and the applause that followed when Røyksopp entered the stage in super hero costumes were worthy of at least two stadiums.”

» Live Review: Ether Festival, London – Orange

“It’s a shock to see Röyksopp rocking the Royal Festival Hall with an assurance and power more often seen at a Chemical Brothers gig. After all, Norweigian pair Torbjørn Brundtland and Svein Berge are best known for their refined coffee-table anthems. Tonight, collaboration is key. When Swedish ice-pop queen Robyn appears to sing on trancey single ‘The Girl And The Robot’, most of the previously seated crowd are up in seconds and cutting shapes like experimental tailors.”
