B & B: Who are you Runar?
Runar: I’m a humble thinker and gambler.
B & B: OK Runar, why did you choose to participate in a video for a band you didnt know existed?
Runar: Well, to start with I dont get that many offers to act these days, last time I was doing some acting was in a school play 1977. When Filip and Andreas approached me with this idea it felt like the right thing to do.
B & B: When watching the video it feels like you are a pro, how come?
Runar: Its a gift i didnt know I had. I know how to play the drums. I have played drums in jazz bands for nearly 25 years. But the acting is just something that triggers me and makes me feel alive.
B & B: During the shoot you where disturbed that the drums didn’t sound good, why?
Runar: It was hard for me to understand that they (Andreas and Filip) didn’t record the sound. Im a drummer it sound good when i play, i wanted the drums to sound perfect. It also disturbed me that Royksopp dont use real drums in the track. The first time they played the track for me I told him that the drums are fake. I was right.
B & B: You dont like electronic music is that what you are saying?
Runar: Thats correct. But I like Norway and I like the energy of the track.
B & B: What was your best experience of the shot?
Runar: The food was very good and it was free coffee all the time. My stomach almost collapsed since I drank so much of that black coffee. I told Andreas that I like the coffee to be “Hot as hell and black as the night”. He like it the same way, it made it easier for us to communicate. Filip drinks thé , very strange.
B & B: What was you worst experience of the shoot?
Runar: When driving the drum quad both my legs and my arms frooze. I couldnt get off the quad, they needed to help to get off the bike. I could barely stand on my legs, they where so cold, so cold. I was thinking to myself, why the hell am i doing this, i could have been home with Cia (Runars girlfrined) , sitting in the sofa sipping on my 7th elephant beer. I keept those thoughts to myself, thats the only way to do it. After a few minutes I was back on the quad bike. I was focusing on the video and I really wanted the result to be perfect.
B & B: What´s up next?
Runar: I will construct a floor in Lindome south of Gothenburg, Sweden.
